VI offers a variety of classes and workshops suitable for students at all levels.

Teachings on Buddhist philosophy are in the tradition of Lama Tsongkhapa, the founder of the Gelug lineage of Tibetan Buddhism, the tradition followed by His Holiness the Dalai Lama, Lama Yeshe and Kyabje Zopa Rinpoche.

Geshe Samten, our resident lama, teaches intermediate & advanced level classes twice weekly. Highly qualified Western teachers teach entry-level classes at regular intervals. We also offer traditional Buddhist practices and pujas several times a month, weekend workshops and retreats, and special events.

VI also convenes major conferences to provide forums for the interchange of ideas between western science, psychology, philosophy and religion and those of the ancient eastern traditions of India and Tibet.
