Membership is one of the most popular and practical ways that friends of Vajrayana Institute can provide substantial support for the centre. As well as creating a vibrant and happy atmosphere our members are the financial backbones of the centre, helping us to meet the cost (around $11,000 per month) of keeping VI functioning.

Applications for membership

Information can be completed by obtaining the membership form by email from the office or calling 02 9798 9644 and returning it to the VI office. Credit card payments can be accepted on 02 9798 9644.

Payments may be deducted from your credit card on a monthly basis. The concession rate is available for those who cannot afford the full rate.

Monthly payments are:

• $25 full
• $12.50 concession
• $37.50 family

Yearly membership fee is:

• $300 full
• $150 concession
• $450 family

If you wish to become a benefactor, payments are $50 /month, $100/month or any other amount you can afford.

Membership Contributions & Donations

These can be made in cash, by Bankcard, MasterCard & Visa or by Cheque payable to Vajrayana Institute. Your contributions help us to work more effectively for the benefit of all.

Contributions are used to:

• Support our resident Tibetan and western teachers, attendant and translator.
• Maintain the centre, by covering the expenses for our spiritual program, administration, communication, building improvements and repayments.

As well as supporting the centre, a portion of each member’s contribution supports the global activities of the FPMT (and indirectly His Holiness the Dalai Lama).

FPMT activities include:

• Comprehensive Buddhist education programs making the dharma available for people in many countries.
• Charitable works such as healing and hospice work.
• Dharma publishing, including many books for free distribution.
• Support for the poor, destitute and the dying in the third world.
• Support for Buddhist monks and nuns, both western and Tibetan.
