Learn to meditate through our popular classes on Tuesday mornings or Wednesday evenings. You will be introduced to the basics of a meditation practice and various types of meditation. Suitable for beginners. Cost: $10 / $9 member per session.
This course focuses on the simple and safe meditative technique of mindfulness. In the practice of mindfulness meditation we train in paying attention in a specific way -- purposefully, in the present moment and as non-judgmentally as possible. You can join anytime.
Tuesdays: 11am-12.15pm starting on 23 July
Meditation is a practical and simple way to train our minds to become familiar with the positive states of mind, like mindfulness, concentration, loving-kindness and so on. Each week a different meditation technique will be introduced along with explanations and guided meditations. Suitable for all. You can join anytime.
Wednesdays: 6pm-7pm starting 7 August
Cultivate mindful awareness and other positive qualities of our mind through the practice of meditation. These drop-in sessions provide guided meditations as well as a chance to meditate together in a group. Ideal for providing support to one's own meditation practice. Beginners and seasoned meditators are welcome. Join anytime.

Join other new mums and dads for an hour of meditation and discussion. Support the bliss of having a new baby by meeting other parents in a relaxed and peaceful setting. Dana will encourage lively discussion or peaceful relaxation and meditation depending on how your baby feels at the time.

This half-hour introductory program for primary school aged children (5-12 yrs old) will include a simple meditation, with time for reflection and discussion. Annie has been leading meditation in primary schools for some years and is a regular student at VI.

The Healing Meditation Group is to provide support for anyone wishing to learn and develop their meditation skills towards the goal of healing. Healing mainly refers to the healing of the mind, especially in the face of pain, sickness, and difficult experiences in life. Each session will explore meditations and relevant concepts from the Buddhist teachings that aid in this journey of healing. Join anytime.
